I have work!

After releasing Flight, I was reconsidered for an appliedĀ job, and am pleased to announce that I’m now hired!

Not entirely sure what I can and can’t divulge yet, but I’m started on the 23rd of February, and in the process of moving. (Not enjoying that last bit so much).

Finally!

Flight is released!

After a stupidly long time, I’ve finally finished Flight, which was previously known as Fly Away Home for the Ludum Dare 22 game jam, about 3 years ago or so.

I always wanted to port it to Android because I felt it would thrive there in terms of gameplay. My next goal now is to figure out how I’m going to get it on iOS, but I have a few plans.
There’s also a few features I’d like to implement, but I don’t want to make any promises. It took me long enough to make the game, who knows when I’ll actually add the new features.

In any case, the Flight is available on itch.io and Google Play store, please check it out or recommend it to a friend!

Looking for Work (C++ Game Programmer!)

Finally got around to updating my website a bit after having graduated.

I’ve also moved back in with family temporarily. While it’s lovely here, I hope it’s only temporary.

As for now, I’m job hunting and still managing projects on the side. I’ll finish that bird game one day.

About time!

Hey, thought I might as well do an update.

For those that don’t know, the Portfolio page has been updated with a lot more work, and my About page has a few typos fixed.

I’d love to touch on the fact that I managed to obtain a PS4 devkit for a few months. It was one hell of an experience, one that I will not soon forget. I was able to be a part of Sony’s devnet, play work with the Phyre Engine, and even better, have a pretty well-experienced mentor. It was a lot of stressful work, but I adored it all. Unfortunately Uni work needed to take precedence, and I sadly had to return the devkit a few weeks ago.

None the less, that’s experience that’s going straight on my CV, and I cannot wait for it to be released! I’ll even get my name in the credits!

As for other work, I got to make a few Augmented Reality mobile apps, which was pretty mind blowing. I’m actually making one for a University project, so hopefully I’ll be able to have a sample on here at some point!

In any case, you can read mostly what I’ve done on the Portfolio page, for now I’m just looking very forward to graduating and actually doing work. I’m very fed up of Uni at this point! It feels like it’s holding me back for the very thing I’m there for.

I’ve got some pretty cool stuff lined up for the up-coming weeks, and fingers crossed I’ll have a few jobs lined up for when I graduate. The client I worked with for the PS4 was pleased with my work, and is interested in what I produce when I leave.

It’s all very scary!

Hello world!

So I have a website and shtuff.

Thankfully it has WordPress built in, otherwise this whole thing would have been a nightmare. I feel all professional now though! I might keep my tumblr around for personal rants, so I can actually use this for game dev, and not feel bad when I rant else where.

My About page is pretty naff, so any feedback or advice would be great.

Over the last week, I feel I’ve taken some pretty big leaps and strides to bettering myself. So lets hope that continues, hmm?
